North Shore, Lake Tahoe, CA
The communities that make up Lake Tahoe’s Northshore (roughly from Dollar Point’s northern flank through to the CA/NV state line) offer visitors and residents a wide variety of size, view, age, and features. Whether a luxury condominium in the Chinquapin community or a Kingswood Estates’ lake view, or a small, “old Tahoe cabin” in the woods of Tahoe Vista or Kings Beach, Tahoe’s north shore has it all.
Blessed with more sun, larger, sandy beaches, and (relatively) less snow, the north shore is also centrally located to many of the other communities around the Lake. Kings Beach, for example, is only 15 minutes to Incline Village, 15 minutes to Truckee, and 15 minutes to Tahoe City. Northstar California is only 10 minutes from the lakeshore, via state route 267. If you like being in the middle of things and don’t want to drive a great distance to get there, Kings Beach and Tahoe’s north shore are for you.
