Tahoe Donner, CA
Tahoe Donner was once the largest subdivision in all of California with 6000 home sites. This was more than 30 years ago and much larger developments have since been created, but for the little town of Truckee, Tahoe Donner represents a large percentage of the community. One of the highest and most western of local neighborhoods, Tahoe Donner also can receive more snow than many other areas in Truckee.
Blessed with easy access from Interstate 80, Tahoe Donner has the full complement of single-family homes and home sites, condominiums, and town houses. Most of the homes and condos are “second homes” used for vacationing or renting. Tahoe Donner has its own ski resort and nordic ski center, but its location is also conveniently close to the major ski resorts of Tahoe (Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows and Northstar California).
Property owners in Tahoe Donner enjoy fantastic benefits, including the recreation centers within the community. Features include: 18-hole championship golf course; 2 outdoor pools; an outdoor lap pool (open year round), tennis courts, and a recreation center with state-of-the-art work-out facilities. There’s even a wonderful restaurant, “The Lodge.” In the summertime, owners and visitors can enjoy the multitude of hiking and biking trails throughout the Truckee/Tahoe Donner area as well as the Equestrian Center.
The HOA includes an architectural review committee which works to assure future construction blends with the natural surroundings. For more information about the Tahoe Donner Homeowner’s Association, please check their website, www.tahoedonner.com.
